About the Opportunity

Austin Fraser is seeking a highly experienced Senior Children's Support Worker to join our residential children's home in Abergavenny. As a Senior Children's Support Worker, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people who require support due to Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

Job Description

This is a full-time, permanent position, working 2 on 4 off shifts. You will be responsible for leading by example, mentoring and supporting newer staff members, and encouraging the young people to participate in activities and take responsibility for their own lives based on their age and individual needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • To lead by example and support the management team to run the shift.
  • To mentor and support newer staff members.
  • To encourage the young people to participate in activities and take responsibility for their own lives based on their age and individual needs.
Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of £31,065 - £32,091 per annum, including a sleep allowance. In addition, you will benefit from ongoing training and development opportunities, a comprehensive benefits package, and the opportunity to work with a dedicated team who share your passion for supporting young people.
