About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Secondary Teaching Assistant to join our team at a fantastic secondary school in the Abergavenny area. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for supporting pupils with learning needs, working 1:1 and with small groups, covering classes, maintaining classroom discipline, building relationships, and helping engage with the national curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Working closely with teachers to support pupils with various learning needs
  • Providing individualized attention to students who require extra help
  • Covering classes when teachers are absent or have meetings
  • Maintaining a well-organized and structured classroom environment
  • Building strong relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents
  • Assisting with lesson planning and preparation
About You

We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced individuals who are passionate about education and making a positive impact on young people's lives. Ideal candidates will have experience working with children, be registered with the Education Workforce Council, and demonstrate strong classroom management skills, excellent organizational abilities, and effective communication skills.
