Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and caring individual to join our team as a Supportive Care Practitioner in Fakenham, Norfolk. This is a part-time position, with the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of older people and individuals with learning disabilities.

About the Role

As a Supportive Care Practitioner, you will provide person-centred care and support that is tailored to the individual needs of our residents. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing social and emotional support to residents at home and in their local community
  • Assisting with personal care, including personal hygiene needs if required
  • Supporting residents with their shopping and budgeting
  • Building and maintaining relationships with friends and family of our residents
  • Performing household tasks, such as cooking, cleaning, and laundry
  • Accompanying residents on walks, meals, and other activities
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience supporting adults with Learning Disabilities, including Autism (ideally)
  • A calm, caring, and positive approach
  • Empathy, sensitivity, and excellent communication skills
  • Computer literacy
  • A valid driving licence (desirable but not essential)
