The NHS is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Practitioner for Children and Adolescents to join our Single Point of Access Team in Rochdale.

About the Role

This exciting opportunity enables you to contribute your expertise in child and adolescent mental health services, working collaboratively with the team to provide high-quality care and support.

You will be responsible for screening, triaging, and outcome referrals into Mental Health Services for Children and Adolescents, consulting with families and professionals to manage risk effectively.

We require someone with significant post-qualification experience in community mental health services, preferably at postgraduate diploma level, and excellent knowledge of relevant legislation and national policies in relation to young people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake appropriate mental health assessments of children and families referred to the Tier 3 service, providing accurate and timely feedback to stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement therapeutic plans for children and young people referred to the team, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Manage a defined caseload and undertake casemanagement responsibilities within the caseload, prioritizing tasks and managing workload effectively.
  • Liaise with a wide range of agencies regarding individual care packages, promoting awareness of child and adolescent mental health issues within these agencies.

Salary: £37,338 - £44,962 per annum (pro rata)
