About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Mental Health Intervention Worker, working closely with young people and their families in the Rochdale Borough area.

As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering emotional health and wellbeing support to children and young people in various settings, including community and education settings.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide individualised support to young people with emotional health and wellbeing needs, offering advice, signposting, and interventions to help them access wider provision.
  • Deliver therapeutic support in line with the Greater Manchester mental health crisis pathway, including supporting young people to access self-help systems and contributing to individualised care-plans.
  • Work collaboratively with partners from the VCSE sector to support children and young people with emotional, behavioural, and mental health difficulties.
  • Formulate and implement intervention plans with young people and partners, focusing on de-escalation, resilience building, and solution-focused support.
  • Prepare and deliver education sessions and group work in education settings or the community, addressing presenting needs.
Requirements
  • A strong understanding of mental health issues affecting children and young people, as well as relevant policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with partners and stakeholders.
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to Early Break's Safeguarding policies.
  • Flexibility to work outside standard hours, potentially including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of young people.
