Education and Development Specialist

Role Overview:
MidKent College seeks a dedicated Progress and Performance Tutor to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting students' academic and personal growth.
Main Responsibilities:
- Teach essential skills for employment or Higher Education, promoting students' personal and academic development through targeted goal setting.
- Deliver engaging group tutorials for up to 30 students, covering safeguarding, relationships, employability, sustainability, drug and alcohol awareness, vaping, health and well-being, and more.
- Maintain excellent communication with students, College staff, and parents/careers using various means, including ProMonitor.
- Conduct one-to-one sessions with students to review progress, address welfare concerns, and provide guidance on personal, academic, and career goals.
- Collaborate with the safeguarding team, adhering to Keeping Children Safe in Education guidelines, and liaise with wider College support services to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
- Monitor students' progress, supporting their academic performance, soft skills development, and UCAS applications as needed.
- Liaise with internal departments, senior staff, and other relevant staff, participating in College marketing activities like external events, open days, and visits.
