Curriculum Manager for Higher Education Institutions

MidKent College is seeking an experienced leader to take charge of its Higher Education (HE) curriculum. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing high-quality educational programs, ensuring they align with the College's strategic objectives.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in curriculum management, preferably within a further education (FE) environment. They should be passionate about team development, innovation, and continuous improvement, with excellent leadership and communication skills.
Main Responsibilities
This role involves leading the curriculum team in preparing, developing, and implementing curriculum plans, teaching and learning delivery plans, and assessing immediate and short-term needs. The successful candidate will also be responsible for monitoring student attendance, retention, achievement, and progress against starting points, developing strategies to improve performance, and ensuring all targets are met.
In addition, the incumbent will lead quality assurance initiatives, promoting innovative and best practice techniques to ensure sustained quality improvements. They will work closely with the Director of Curriculum to develop business plans, undertake research, and provide data-driven insights to inform decision-making.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need a strong background in curriculum management, ideally within an FE environment. You should have excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve shared goals. Additionally, you should be proficient in using relevant software and systems, such as timetabling and HR management tools.
