About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team at Langworth ward, Witham Court. As a Band 5 Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for providing assessment and treatment for patients with mental health problems associated with dementia.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain effective communication with patients, carers, and colleagues to promote good client care and deliver initiatives such as the Care Programme Approach.
  • Act as an advocate and support patients through their care programme, explaining care, treatment, and associated risks.
  • Provide and receive complex information, using persuasive, motivational, negotiating, empathic, and reassuring skills to support patients through their journey.
  • Develop and complete nursing and risk assessments, analysing and deciding the most appropriate approach to implementing care plans.
  • Organise and plan activities with patients, facilitating therapeutic and educational groups.
