About the Role


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Acute Care Nurse to join our team at Brant Ward, Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and manage a team of staff nurses and healthcare assistants, providing high-quality care to patients with mental health needs.



Job Description



Main Duties

  • Clinically lead and manage a team of staff nurses and healthcare assistants on shift, ensuring safe and effective patient care.
  • Support the Ward Manager with operational duties and contribute to the development and maintenance of clinical standards.
  • Risk assess and manage complex behaviours of acutely unwell patients, implementing Reducing Restrictive Practice to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Assess, plan, evaluate, and review individualised plans of care in conjunction with patients, promoting successful transitions and discharges.
  • Conduct assessments of needs and deliver tailored care to support recovery and optimal discharge planning.


Person Specification



Essential Qualifications

  • RNM or RNLD or RN: 1st Level Registration (NMC) or degree or equivalent.
  • Evidence of continued professional training (degree level) in clinical practice.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Certificate in clinical supervision.
  • Management Training.

Experience

  • Relevant experience working with adults with mental health needs, or clear evidence of substantial experience in crisis management and transferable skills.
  • Sound knowledge of national mental health agendas.
  • Sound knowledge of clinical/risk assessment and Information Governance principles.
