Job Summary

Lincolnshire County Council, Public Health Division is seeking a Senior Health Protection Nurse to join their team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in protecting the community from infectious diseases and other public health hazards.

Main Duties

The Senior Health Protection Nurse will work collaboratively with Health Protection Managers and wider Public Health staff to effectively manage incidents and outbreaks of infectious and non-infectious environmental hazards.

The post holder will work both collaboratively and autonomously, using transferable knowledge and skills, to help develop and deliver the Health Protection service across Lincolnshire.

The Senior Health Protection Nurse will actively engage in the broader work of the Health Protection Service and will lead defined areas of work such as Infection Prevention & Control, Screening & Immunisation and Sexual Health.

  • Qualified Adult or Child or Mental Health Nursing
  • Background in Nursing Education
  • Must have NMC registration
