About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Manager to join our team at the Department for Business and Trade. As a key member of our Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) directorate, you will play a critical role in championing the delivery and continuous improvement of products and services that support our mission to grow the economy.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead one or more multidisciplinary agile teams to deliver digital services and products through the product lifecycle
  • Develop and maintain a product roadmap that sets a clear direction for success and adapts to new perspectives or dependencies
  • Work closely with stakeholders and users to understand business value and user needs, and develop solutions that meet those needs
  • Collaborate with the delivery manager to ensure high-performing teams and effective operational processes
  • Develop and manage stakeholder relationships to create buy-in for the product

Requirements

  • Proven experience in product management, with a strong understanding of product ownership, strategic ownership, user focus, agile working, problem ownership, and working within constraints
  • Ability to create and maintain a product roadmap, and adapt it to new perspectives or dependencies
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders and users
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced, evolving environment, and using iterative methods and flexible approaches to enable rapid delivery of value
