About Place2Be

We are a leading UK children’s mental health charity providing in-school support, working with over 300 schools nationwide.

As a Therapist in Emotional Support, you will work closely with our experienced team to deliver high-quality services to children and young people aged 4-18. You will be responsible for providing emotional and therapeutic support to children and young people, as well as contributing to the development of our services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide one-to-one counselling sessions with children and young people, using a variety of therapeutic approaches tailored to their needs.
  • To work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure seamless communication and effective support for children and young people.
  • To participate in regular supervision and training workshops to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • To contribute to the development of our services through feedback, suggestions, and ideas.
  • To maintain accurate records of client interactions, progress, and outcomes.

About You

We are looking for a qualified Counsellor or Therapist who is passionate about supporting the emotional well-being of children and young people. You should have a minimum of a Diploma in Counselling (Level 4 or above) or a degree in Counselling, Counselling Psychology, or Psychotherapy. You must also have relevant experience of direct work with children and young people.
