Wales Medicines Strategy Group is seeking a highly motivated and experienced medical professional to fill the position of Consultant in Adult Intensive Care.
Job SummaryThis is a substantive 10 PA post, with a job plan in Intensive Care & Acute Medicine as follows:
Critical Care = 5 PA
Acute Medicine = 2.5 PA
SPA = 2.5 SPA
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading a multidisciplinary team, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert critical care services to patients, including acute medicine and trauma cases.
- Lead a team of healthcare professionals to deliver effective patient care.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, such as clinical audit and research projects.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills in intensive care medicine, including percutaneous tracheostomy and bronchoscopy.
- Fellowship in Intensive Care Medicine (FFICM) or equivalent qualification.
- Membership of an appropriate Royal College and full UK or equivalent qualifications.
- Eligibility for full registration with the GMC at the time of appointment.
- Clear evidence of an interest in and a commitment to intensive care medicine.
The estimated annual salary for this position is £105,504 - £139,882.
