Senior Clinical Fellow in Geriatric Medicine

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Physician to join our dynamic team delivering high-quality acute care services at Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals.

This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity for a Senior Clinical Fellow to contribute to the running of the Stroke unit at Whiston, working closely with multidisciplinary teams and developing skills in managing patient flow to maintain excellent clinical care.

The successful candidate will be responsible for participating in clinical audit and activities, continuing professional development, and educational supervision. They will also ensure good documentation and record keeping, comply with Trust policies and procedures, and maintain GMC registration/licensing.

In addition to their clinical responsibilities, the Lead Physician will be involved in departmental audit/research/QIPs and have opportunities to attend educational events and participate in teaching and learning initiatives.

To succeed in this role, applicants must hold full registration with the GMC, possess MBBS or equivalent medical qualification, ALS or equivalent, MRCP or equivalent, and Speciality Certificate in Geriatric Medicine. Experience in geriatric medicine and understanding of audit, research, and teaching is highly desirable.

We offer a competitive salary range of £55,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a generous benefits package, including on-call allowance and enhancements.
