As a Child Exploitation Case Worker with Catch22, you will play a vital role in supporting Staffordshire Police, Stoke-on-Trent, and Staffordshire local authorities in their efforts to combat child criminal exploitation. Your primary responsibility will be to provide holistic family support to children and young people at risk of or subjected to child criminal exploitation through urban gang affiliation.

Key aspects of this role include one-to-one intervention, group work, and training events to raise awareness of CE and youth crime issues in Stoke-On-Trent and Staffordshire. You will collaborate with Children's Social Care and the Police to undertake assessments, develop risk reduction plans, and work towards a holistic approach for up to 15 young people at a time.

As a Child Exploitation Case Worker, you will have the opportunity to engage hard-to-reach young people and families through creative techniques, promoting access to diversionary activities that reduce the risk of criminal exploitation. Your role will involve delivering awareness/training sessions to various stakeholders, fostering positive relationships with partner agencies, and ensuring young victims receive the necessary support during police investigations and court cases.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 5 GCSE's or equivalent level education, grade "C" or above
  • Working directly with young people on level 2- 4 on the continuum of need presenting a variety of support needs including keep safe work with those involved in Child Exploitation / Urban Street Gangs
  • Planning, delivering and evaluating support activities for and with young people and their carers
  • Working in partnership with a variety of agencies to achieve agreed outcomes.
  • Delivering training to groups of young people, parents and professionals
  • Handling sensitive and confidential issues with tact and diplomacy.
