About the Role

We Are With You, a leading provider of drug and alcohol support services, is seeking an experienced Clinical Trauma Specialist to join our team. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Stoke.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality recovery care to individuals affected by substance use and trauma. As a Clinical Trauma Specialist, you will be responsible for assessing and treating clients with complex psychological needs, including those experiencing co-occurring mental health issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist psychological interventions and assessments to clients with trauma and substance use disorders
  • Liaise with referrers, GPs, and other professionals to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address client needs
  • Collaborate with frontline staff to improve psychosocial interventions and enhance service quality
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to ongoing research and evaluation efforts
Requirements
  • Postgraduate Doctoral level training in clinical or counselling psychology (BPS accredited)
  • Registered with the HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist, with evidence of continuing professional development
  • Demonstrable experience working with individuals affected by trauma and substance use disorders
  • Sound knowledge of legislation related to service user groups, including mental health, child and adult safeguarding, and equality
  • Ability to communicate complex information sensitively and effectively with clients, carers, and colleagues
