About the Role

Douglas Macmillan Hospice is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Children's Community Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our palliative care team, you will provide expert nursing care to children and families in the community, hospice, and hospital settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for children and families in partnership with child, parents/carers, and other professionals.
  • Provide effective care, treatment, and management within the community setting and/or hospice setting.
  • Work in partnership to actively involve parents/carers and children in the implementation and evaluation of care plans.
  • Ensure care delivered is delivered to predetermined standards.
  • Act as an advocate for the child and family.

Requirements

  • Registered Children's Nurse/RNCB.
  • ENB 998 or C&G 7307 or equivalent.
  • Children's Palliative Care experience.
  • Staff coordination.

Desirable

  • Paediatric palliative care Degree/Module.
  • Evidence of continuing academic progression.
  • Non-Medical Prescribing.
