About the Role
Douglas Macmillan Hospice is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Children's Community Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our palliative care team, you will provide expert nursing care to children and families in the community, hospice, and hospital settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for children and families in partnership with child, parents/carers, and other professionals.
- Provide effective care, treatment, and management within the community setting and/or hospice setting.
- Work in partnership to actively involve parents/carers and children in the implementation and evaluation of care plans.
- Ensure care delivered is delivered to predetermined standards.
- Act as an advocate for the child and family.
Requirements
- Registered Children's Nurse/RNCB.
- ENB 998 or C&G 7307 or equivalent.
- Children's Palliative Care experience.
- Staff coordination.
Desirable
- Paediatric palliative care Degree/Module.
- Evidence of continuing academic progression.
- Non-Medical Prescribing.
