About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Children's Nurse to join our team at Douglas Macmillan Hospice. As a Children's Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care to children and young people with life-limiting conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care plans for children in partnership with the child, parents/carers, and other professionals.
  • Provide effective care, treatment, and management within the hospice and/or community setting.
  • Ensure all documentation is complete and up-to-date in accordance with hospice policy.
  • Liaise with healthcare and social care professionals across organizations to ensure an integrated package of care and support is delivered.

Requirements

  • Registered Children's Nurse (RNCB) qualification.
  • ENB 998 or C&G 7307 or equivalent.
  • Experience of partnership working across agencies, including social care, education, and the voluntary sector.
  • Experience of working in a skill-mixed team of staff.
  • Experience of working with children with additional needs, physical, and/or learning disabilities.
  • Experience of working with children and families with complex needs.
