Children's Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Children's Nurse to join our team at Douglas Macmillan Hospice. As a Children's Nurse Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to children and young people with life-limiting conditions and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for children and young people with complex needs.
- Work in partnership with other professionals and agencies to provide holistic care and support to children and families.
- Act as a role model and mentor to junior staff, promoting a culture of excellence and evidence-based practice.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure high-quality care and service delivery.
- Participate in service development and quality improvement initiatives to enhance the care and experience of children and families.
- Registered Children's Nurse (RNCB) qualification.
- ENB 998 or C&G 7307 or equivalent.
- Experience of working with children with life-limiting conditions and their families.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and consent principles.
- Competent in carrying out a wide range of clinical skills.
