Child Development Specialist

Halliwell Homes is seeking a skilled Child Psychotherapist to join our team. Located at our Stoke Hub, this role offers a competitive salary of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum.
About the RoleWe are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated professional who can provide one-to-one specialist support to children suffering from the impact of trauma and attachment difficulties. As a key member of our clinical team, you will work closely with the Head of Clinical Services to develop and implement risk assessment and management plans that meet the emotional, behavioural, and social needs of our young clients.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality one-to-one psychotherapy sessions to children using various creative modalities.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of risk assessment and management plans.
- Attend regular clinical supervision and team meetings to ensure seamless collaboration and best practice.
- Provide comprehensive clinical and consultation records, as well as report clinical outcomes and data to the Head of Clinical Services.
- Undertake ongoing clinical professional development and supervision to maintain expertise and adhere to industry standards.
To succeed in this role, you must possess:
- A recognised qualification in Play Therapy, Art Therapy, Psychotherapy, or Psychology.
- A good standard of English and Maths.
- Membership of an accredited professional body (e.g., BPS, UKCP).
- Extensive experience delivering psychotherapy to children, including primary school-aged children.
- A good working knowledge of different modalities appropriate to working with children.
- Experience of delivering one-to-one, intensive psychotherapy within a statutory or other professional setting.
