Role Overview

Pulse Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Clinical / Counselling / Forensic Psychologist to join our team of experienced professionals. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting assessments, providing therapeutic interventions, and developing highly specialist interventions for children and young people.

About the Position

  • Salary: £54,000 - £60,500 per annum, negotiable depending on experience
  • Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, typically from 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday
  • Location: Stoke on Trent with occasional travel required

Key Responsibilities

  1. Conduct thorough assessments of therapeutic needs and develop tailored intervention plans
  2. Provide direct therapeutic interventions to children and young people, including individual and group therapy sessions
  3. Offer consultation and training to parents, carers, and residential care staff on trauma-informed therapies and attachment difficulties
  4. Participate in Autism assessments and provide expert advice to multidisciplinary teams
  5. Maintain accurate records and contribute to service development and evaluation

Requirements

  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) is mandatory
  • Minimum of two years post-qualified work experience in a clinical environment with children, young people, and their families
  • Experience working with developmental trauma and attachment difficulties is desirable
