Housing Support Specialist

About the RoleThis is a full-time, 13-month fixed-term contract position that requires a passion for customer service and a desire to make a positive impact. If you have experience in housing income, benefits, or a related field, we would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities- To provide exceptional customer service and support to our customers, ensuring they receive the help they need to maintain their tenancies and improve their living situations.
- To work closely with colleagues to identify and address any issues that may be affecting our customers' ability to pay rent or manage their finances effectively.
- To conduct regular home visits to assess customers' needs and provide guidance on managing their finances, accessing benefits, and navigating welfare reform legislation.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A strong understanding of housing benefits, universal credit, and welfare reform legislation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with customers from diverse backgrounds.
- A full driving license and access to a vehicle, as frequent travel to customers' homes will be required.
We offer a competitive salary of £**£35,000-£45,000 per annum**, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits, including:
- 27 days annual leave, plus bank holidays.
