About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled NHS Patient Services Coordinator to join our team at Spire Healthcare Ltd. As a key member of our administrative staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our outpatient department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to clinicians, including booking and organizing clinics, registering patients on our Patient Administration System (PAS), and ensuring all bookings are accurately recorded.
  • Referral Management: Manage new referrals, including paper, fax, or email, and ensure they are booked in line with applicable local or national NHS policies.
  • Day-to-Day Operations: Ensure the day-to-day management of our NHS Electronic Referral System (ERS), including resolving Appointment Slot Issues (ASIs), Appointment Booking Issues (ABIs), and other patient problems.
  • Communication: Liaise with consultants and their secretaries regarding patient queries and urgent messages, and cancel and rearrange clinics on behalf of consultants.
  • Data Management: Ensure all required data is collected accurately and liaise with relevant staff to resolve any data quality problems to ensure 18-week and contractual data compliance is accurately recorded for all patients.
Requirements
  • Personable Individual: A personable individual with the ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
  • Administrative Experience: Previous experience in administration is essential.
  • Technical Skills: Good basic PC skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent customer service skills and great communication skills at all levels.
