Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide tailored support to students with a range of mental health needs, including anxiety, depression, and emotional difficulties.
  • Assist students in managing their emotions and engaging positively with their learning, both academically and socially.
  • Work closely with teachers and the SEN/SEMH team to implement individual support plans and intervention strategies.
  • Support the development of coping strategies and emotional resilience through structured activities and therapeutic approaches.
  • Foster a calm, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment to encourage student wellbeing and progress.
  • Regularly monitor and report on student wellbeing and progress, adapting support strategies as necessary.

  • An understanding of how to implement emotional and behavioural support plans effectively.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, Mental Health First Aid, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential if you have the right experience and attitude.
