Social Emotional Mental Health Support Graduate Opportunity

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and passionate graduate to join our specialist secondary school in Salford, supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide classroom and 1:1 support to students with a range of mental health challenges, such as anxiety, depression, and emotional difficulties.
  • Assist in developing students' emotional resilience, guiding them to engage positively with their education both socially and academically.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers and the SEMH support team to create and implement individual support plans and interventions.
  • Help students manage emotions and behaviors through structured activities, promoting a calm and inclusive learning environment.
  • Regularly monitor student wellbeing, adapting strategies to ensure progress and provide feedback to the team.

  • Strong communication skills are required to work closely with a variety of professionals, including teachers and mental health specialists, as well as the students' families.
  • A desire to learn and develop new skills is essential, as you'll be working in a dynamic and supportive environment.

While qualifications are beneficial, we value a positive attitude and a genuine interest in SEMH support. If you have the drive and passion to help young people, we can provide the training you need.
