Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our team at ClassRoom Support. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with students exhibiting challenging behaviors or requiring special assistance.

The successful applicant will provide academic support to students in the classroom, helping them understand the material and offering encouragement and social/emotional support. Some students may require personal/intimate care, such as toileting and changing, and you will be expected to provide this level of support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the classroom teacher by completing observations, providing insights on a pupil's progress, and carrying out delegated tasks.
  • Aid pupils in their learning by explaining the current task, ensuring they have all the necessary equipment, and motivating them if needed.
  • Provide expert personal/intimate care for pupils requiring this level of support.
  • Liaise with the SENCO/Inclusion manager to deliver SEN provision.

The salary for this role is £92 per day, paid weekly.

Requirements:
  • Must have or be willing to obtain an enhanced DBS and register on the update service.
  • Must have experience working in a school within the past two years.
  • Must have experience working with students with complex learning difficulties.
  • Must have previous Care experience or experience providing personal/intimate care for children.
