Primary School SEN Teaching Assistant Lead

Active Recruitment is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to lead our team of teaching assistants in a primary school setting, supporting pupils with Autism and Social & Emotional Needs.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, be able to motivate and inspire others, and have experience working with pupils with SEN.

The role involves leading the team of teaching assistants, assessing individual learning needs, developing strategies to manage challenging behavior, and providing a calm, patient, and caring approach.

About the Role:
  • Leading the Team of Teaching Assistants: The successful candidate will lead the team of teaching assistants, motivating and inspiring them to provide high-quality support to pupils with SEN.
  • Assessing Individual Learning Needs: The SEN Teaching Assistant Lead will assess the individual learning needs of pupils, taking into account their strengths, weaknesses, and areas of support required.
  • Developing Strategies to Manage Challenging Behavior: The successful candidate will develop strategies to positively manage challenging behavior, promoting a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Calm, Patient, and Caring Approach: The successful candidate will demonstrate a calm, patient, and caring approach when supporting pupils with SEN.
