We are seeking a highly skilled Land Acquisition Specialist to join our team at WSP.

Salary: £65,000 - £85,000 per annum.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering essential services related to land acquisition, valuation, compulsory purchase, compensation, landowner engagement, land access, wayleaves, consents, and negotiations for high-profile infrastructure projects across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Negotiating access to and acquiring land for large-scale development projects
  • Securing appropriate land rights for infrastructure projects
  • Preparing consent documents
  • Utilising statutory powers and other available mechanisms to acquire land on behalf of WSP clients
  • Negotiation of Heads of Terms to secure land for projects in a timely fashion
  • Liaising with landowners, legal representatives, planning authorities, key stakeholders, contractors, and clients
  • Managing and settling compensation claims
  • Experience in working with multi-disciplinary teams across various sectors and locations

Requirements:

  • Proven track record in land acquisition and property-related services
  • Experience in negotiating with landowners and knowledge of the legal process for property acquisition
  • Ability to communicate effectively and have strong influencing and negotiating skills
  • Demonstrable knowledge of relevant legislation and procedures
