About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our Hospice at Home team. As a key member of our team, you will provide vital support to patients, their families, and carers, enabling them to receive the care they need in the comfort of their own homes.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Work closely with Clinical Nurse Specialists to deliver personalized care to patients, tailoring your approach to meet their unique needs and goals.
  2. Support patients, families, and carers in managing their care, providing emotional and practical assistance as needed.
  3. Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure seamless care delivery, sharing observations and insights to inform patient care.
  4. Contribute to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for patients, carers, and staff.

Requirements

  • Essential: NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care, previous experience in palliative care, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
  • Desirable: Computer literacy, ability to establish effective communication with patients and families, and a willingness to learn and develop skills.
