We are a leading optical practice seeking a dedicated Optical Assistant to support our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient service and care.

Compensation

The salary for this position is £23,000 per year, providing a competitive remuneration package.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive eye care services to patients alongside the optometrist.
  • Help patients choose suitable eyewear by offering guidance on frame styles and lens options.
  • Manage inventory levels of optical supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary.
  • Educate patients on proper eyewear care and usage, including contact lens application and removal.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and assist with administrative tasks as required.
  • Process patient payments using cash and credit cards through our Practice Management System.
  • Able to handle back-office administrative duties effectively.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in an optical setting is preferred but not essential; we offer training where necessary.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients.
  • A keen attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality service.
