Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Executive to join our team at Mploy Staffing Solutions. As a Sales Executive, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with shippers, both domestic and international, to drive business profitability and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify sales opportunities and new potential customers through various channels, including sales platforms, door knocking, cold calling, and networking at trade shows.
  • Screen customer needs, approach customers, and demonstrate software and company capabilities.
  • Understand customer requirements and offer advice on suitable freight products, with a view to cross and up-sell, if appropriate.
  • Manage customer objections and quotations/pricing.
  • Closing deals by signing up and 'activating' customers.
  • Earn customer loyalty via superb levels of customer care, while working closely with our Customer Care Team.
  • Exceed agreed sales targets by successfully managing a sales 'pipeline'.
  • Build and grow positive/efficient relationships with customers.
  • Manage customer data in an efficient and compliant manner within our CRM system.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in an in-house sales role within a major courier or experience selling services is highly desirable.
  • Driven, consultative, and honest salesperson with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly affable, enjoys working as part of a close-knit team, and doesn't mind working independently.
  • System savvy and computer literate, with experience using MS Office Package (Word, Outlook, and Excel primarily) and CRM systems.
  • Wants to learn and develop themselves, with a strong desire to succeed in a sales environment.
  • Highly organized, hardworking, and able to work to deadline.
  • Can multitask and prioritize their workload.
  • Proactive, a 'people person,' and confident.
  • Articulate communicator and an active listener.
  • Has a UK driving license and own vehicle, with the ability to travel infrequently to sell or attend trade shows.

What We Offer:

  • Annual salary of £25,000 to £35,000, dependant on levels of experience, salary expectations, and interview performance.
  • 31 days of annual leave per year, including Bank Holidays.
  • Commission scheme with a two-year term, offering 25% commission in year one and 20% commission in year two.
  • Office-based Monday to Friday work, with a 37.5-hour per week contract and flexible working hours.
  • Annual company-wide bonus paying up to £2,000, subject to company performance and pro-rata considerations.
