About the Role:The successful candidate will support the Markets Manager in the management and enhancement of the Blochairn Market portfolio, ensuring all lease obligations are met.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Navigating complex landlord and tenant matters, including rent reviews, lease renewals, rent arrears, and new lettings.
- Leading general estates management initiatives and actively participating in asset management tasks and general queries.
- Providing expert professional advice on service charge accounting procedures across the commercial investment portfolio.
- Preparing budgets for key estates and ensuring accurate information reflects expected costs.
- Monitoring and controlling income and expenditure associated with assigned property portfolios, liaising with property agents and tenants on rent reviews, lease renewals, and agency matters.
- Working collaboratively with stakeholders, Glasgow City Council, and partners to share knowledge, experience, and procedures.
- Creating and monitoring service charge budgets, including adjustments and journals as required.
- Preparing and delivering accurate management and Committee reports, providing specialist professional advice and recommendations.
- Monitoring budget performance and providing reports for senior management.
- Developing an excellent working knowledge of the portfolio.
- Managing a demanding workload and ensuring key tasks are carried out in a professional and effective manner.
- Deputising for the Markets Manager.
- Ensuring Health and Safety and risk management procedures are understood and adhered to.
- Providing standby cover to meet operational requirements for incidents occurring outwith normal working hours.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
City Property Glasgow LLP offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including 26 days annual leave plus 12.5 public holidays, pension with Strathclyde Pension Fund, and opportunities for professional development.
