Job Overview

This role requires a vigilant professional with a commitment to safety and security, who can manage the effective operation of the security service on site, monitor financial performance, and conduct investigations and improvement plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily operations of the security service, ensuring adequate staffing levels and relief staff for planned and unplanned cover.
  • Process holiday requests and cover with trained and competent officers, maintaining standards of discipline and welfare amongst team members.
  • Liaise with Sodexo and Client personnel to ensure provision of an efficient and effective security service, prioritizing tasks and responding to ad hoc requests.
  • Complete and submit report forms relating to accidents/incidents, ensuring necessary internal security audits are undertaken and providing a detailed action plan.
  • Understand client requirements and provide security solutions to meet and exceed needs, contributing to achieving customer objectives.
  • Ensure security responds immediately to intruder/panic/fire alarms, attending major incidents as required and recording incidents in the daily occurrence book.
  • Ensure all relevant Sodexo/client paperwork is completed and audited for accuracy, updating security risk assessments and training officers accordingly.
  • Collate and update emergency response processes on site, providing written reports and witness statements to the Police if required.
  • Enforce Sodexo security-related procedures and SOPs, monitoring/managing the CCTV system, access control system, fire alarm system, and panic alarm system.
  • Attend training courses as required, ensuring site compliance with Diageo physical security standards and GDPR compliance with all Diageo and Sodexo standards.
  • Ensure all officers are in the correct uniform and maintain high standards, providing monthly reports to the UK and I Security Manager.

Requirements:

  • DS or Guarding SIA licenses
  • First Aid at Work or Emergency First Aid at Work
  • Strong security management experience within a manufacturing and gatehouse environment
  • Relationship management, understanding of external and internal customer management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to operate Microsoft/Excel/PowerPoint and SharePoint
