Job Overview

As a Security Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing the effective operation of the security service on site, monitoring financial performance, and conducting investigations and improvement plans. You will also ensure adequate staffing levels, process holiday requests, and manage security staff attendance records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operation of the security service on site.
  • Monitor financial performance and conduct investigations and improvement plans.
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels and process holiday requests.
  • Manage security staff attendance records.
  • Train newly appointed security officers.
  • Maintain standards of discipline and welfare amongst team members.
  • Liaise with Sodexo and Client personnel as necessary.
  • Prioritise tasks and respond to ad hoc requests.
  • Complete and submit report forms relating to accidents/incidents.
  • Ensure necessary internal security audits are undertaken.
  • Understand client requirements and provide security solutions.
  • Respond to intruder/panic/fire alarms.
  • Attend major incidents as required.
  • Record incidents in the daily occurrence book.
  • Ensure all relevant paperwork is completed and audited.
  • Ensure team follows key management process.
  • Ensure all necessary patrols are conducted efficiently.
  • Report faults or defects immediately.
  • Ensure all security risk assessments are updated and trained out.
  • Collate and update emergency response process.
  • Provide written reports and witness statements to the Police if required.
  • Enforce Sodexo security related procedures and SOP's.
  • Monitor/manage CCTV, access control, fire alarm, and panic alarm systems.
  • Attend training courses as required.
  • Ensure site is compliant with Diageo physical security standards.
  • Ensure GDPR compliance with all Diageo and Sodexo standards.
  • Ensure all officers are in correct uniform and high standards.
  • Provide monthly reports to the UK and I Security Manager.

Requirements

  • DS or Guarding SIA licenses.
  • First Aid at Work or Emergency First Aid at Work.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Security experience with strong communication skills.
  • Strong security management experience within a manufacturing and gatehouse environments.
  • Relationship management, understanding of external and internal customer management.
  • Prioritise and complete tasks.
  • Respond to a variety of needs and work pressures.
  • Able to respond to and control emergencies.
  • Good knowledge of health and safety.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of GDPR.
  • Able to operate Microsoft/Excel/Power point and SharePoint.
