The role of Technical Sales Manager at Orion Electrotech is to spearhead all Sales and Estimating activities in line with the global sales strategy. This includes managing spares sales, equipment sales (covering bespoke capital equipment and standard products), and spares and services support.
This position requires an engineering qualification as a minimum, preferably HNC. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in process manufacturing, special purpose machinery or similar manufacturing environment, as well as 5+ years of experience in a sales executive role.
We are looking for someone who can actively input into the overall company strategy, direction, and operational goals. This individual will also be responsible for managing and controlling equipment sales, providing technical, commercial sales, and cost estimation expertise.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve business growth
- Manage and control equipment sales, spares sales, and services
- Provide technical, commercial sales, and cost estimation expertise
- Contribute to the overall company strategy, direction, and operational goals
- Lead and manage a team of sales professionals
Requirements:
- Engineering qualification, HNC as a minimum
- 10+ years of experience in process manufacturing, special purpose machinery, or similar manufacturing environment
- 5+ years of experience in a sales executive role
- 3+ years of experience in people management, preferable in an engineering environment
- Extensive technical, commercial sales, and cost estimation experience
- Client/Supplier management experience in a technical/commercial environment
