Occupational Therapist Opportunity

Ackerman Pierce is seeking an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join our Front Door Team. This is a full-time contract with the opportunity to work from home, a fair and manageable caseload, and further training in your portfolio. The initial contract will be for 3-6 months with potential for extension.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assess service users and carers with complex needs in relation to their home environment
  • Work alongside the Team Manager, visiting residents' homes to ensure collaboration with partner agencies
  • Provide expert advice and assessments for equipment and home modifications
  • Recommend adaptations to improve the home environment
  • Conduct moving and handling assessments
  • Understand and demonstrate the importance of safeguarding vulnerable people and dignity and respect when dealing with individuals
Requirements
  • Previous experience working as an Occupational Therapist in the community
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as an Adult Social Care OT
  • Community OT post with experience in assisting and moving, major and minor adaptations
