About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality occupational therapy services to children and young people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy plans to support children and young people with complex needs.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to identify occupational therapy needs and goals.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, educators, and families to ensure seamless service delivery and optimal outcomes.
  • Provide training and education to schools, early years settings, and other stakeholders to promote occupational therapy best practices.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of integrated service models and clinical decision-making frameworks.
  • Participate in leadership and management activities, including supervising junior staff and students, to promote professional growth and development.

Requirements
  • Professional Qualification in Occupational Therapy (e.g., BSc, MSc, or equivalent).
  • Experience working with children and young people, preferably in a paediatric occupational therapy setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to service delivery.
  • Good understanding of current professional and statutory issues related to occupational therapy practice.
