About This Role
As a Neurological Occupational Therapist, you'll play a vital role in helping individuals with physical, mental health, or social disabilities regain independence and improve their quality of life. You'll work closely with patients to develop personalized treatment plans, utilizing your expertise in manual therapy, cognitive assessments, and perceptual rehabilitation.
Your Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and interventions for individuals recovering from neurological conditions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Educate patients and their families on strategies to manage their condition and promote independence.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and outcomes.
- Stay current on best practices in neurological rehabilitation.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy or equivalent.
- Demonstrable experience working as an Occupational Therapist within a community setting, specializing in stroke rehabilitation.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of neurological conditions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
