Residential Childcare Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Residential Childcare Specialist to join our team. As a Residential Childcare Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to children with complex needs/Learning Disabilities.
Your primary responsibility will be to support young people with their daily routines, hobbies, and social activities. This will involve working closely with the child to understand their individual needs and preferences, and developing personalized plans to support their growth and development.
You will also be responsible for maintaining a safe and supportive environment within the home, which includes supervising mealtimes, assisting with personal care, and encouraging positive behavior. To achieve this, you must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to work collaboratively as part of a small team.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Supporting young people with daily routines, including morning preparation and getting ready for school
- Assisting with leisure activities, such as hobbies and social events
- Maintaining accurate records of the child's progress and development
- Participating in regular training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge
**Requirements:**
- A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (England) or equivalent qualification
- Experience working with children with complex needs/Learning Disabilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
