Are you a recent psychology graduate looking to launch your career in SEN education?

Academics Ltd is currently working with a specialist school within the Swindon district who are seeking a Developmental Support Specialist to join their excellent team of staff. This opportunity will open many doors to support children with additional needs, varying from ASD, Speech & Language and Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs.

This role would be an amazing chance for individuals to gain front-line experience and see what it is like to be the first line of support for students facing challenges throughout their adolescence. For those interested in a career in psychology, taking on this supporting role within the school will give an excellent insight into how support and prevention can help young people access high-quality education.

  • Working one-to-one with children
  • Identifying potential trigger areas
  • Observing behaviour and reactions
  • Facilitating therapeutic techniques
  • Collaborating with occupational therapists and behaviour analysts on site

The school is looking for individuals to join their team and provide further insight into how they can adapt curriculums and tasks set to enable students to benefit and work to their highest potential.

  • Monday to Friday, 8:30 - 3:30
  • £85-£95 per day
  • Located in Swindon
  • SEN Education

Experience working with children is beneficial but not mandatory. The ideal candidate will have received a 2:1 degree in Psychology or a relevant subject.
