Nursery Practitioner Job Description

This role requires a skilled and caring individual to support young children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will work closely with children, families, and the wider team to provide tailored care and learning opportunities.

Main Duties

  • Provide high-quality care and education for young children with SEND.
  • Develop and maintain a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment.
  • Support children's developmental milestones and promote their independence.
  • Collaborate with parents/carers to ensure consistent care and learning.
  • Keep accurate records of children's progress and share insights with the team.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Relevant childcare qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 in Early Years Education or equivalent).
  • Experience working with young children with SEND.
  • Strong understanding of child development and sensory needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Estimated Salary: £26,500 - £31,000 per annum
