Senior Land and Property Surveyor

WSP is seeking a highly skilled Land Acquisition and Property Rights Specialist to join our team of experienced land professionals. As a valued member of our Land Services team, you will play a crucial role in delivering essential services related to land acquisition, valuation, compulsory purchase, compensation, landowner engagement, land access, wayleaves, consents, and negotiations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Negotiating access to and acquiring land for high-profile, strategic infrastructure projects across the UK.
- Securing appropriate land rights for large-scale development projects.
- Utilizing statutory powers and other available mechanisms to acquire land on behalf of WSP clients across highways, rail, water, gas, and all energy sectors.
- Negotiation of Heads of Terms to secure land for projects in a timely fashion.
- Liaising with landowners' land agents, legal representatives, planning authorities, key stakeholders, contractors, and clients.
- Managing and settling compensation claims.
Requirements:
- Proven track record in the management and delivery of land and property-related services.
- Experience of negotiating with landowners and knowledge of the legal process for the acquisition of property and rights.
- Experience of managing and settling a range of voluntary and compulsory purchase compensation claims.
- Proven track record in the management and delivery of land-related services.
- Experience of infrastructure development schemes in particular the road, rail, gas, electricity, or renewable energy sector.
