Aspire People is a leading education recruitment agency, and we are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Full-time Permanent SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in a special school located in Castle Bromwich / Birmingham. This rewarding role will provide support to students with a variety of additional needs, including SEMH, SLD, PMLD, global delay, autism, trauma, behavioural challenges, and physical disabilities.

About the Position:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students aged 5-16 (Year 1 to Year 11) who have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). Your role will involve delivering tailored support to help students access the curriculum, develop essential life skills, and reach their full potential. You'll be part of a dedicated team that provides outstanding pastoral care, ensuring each child feels understood, valued, and supported.

Requirements:
  • A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is mandatory
  • Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), especially SEMH, is highly desirable
  • A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach to working with children
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
  • Strong communication skills and a genuine commitment to supporting students' success
