About the Job

This Deputy Head of Service role offers a unique opportunity to join our leadership team in London, working 37.5 hours a week.

As a key member of our team, you will assist the Head of Service to deliver consistently safe and high-quality support across London, meeting funder requirements and deputising in their absence.

You will also coordinate the continuous improvement of our DA Service, ensuring consistent implementation across all aspects of the service, and facilitate consultation with teams and stakeholders to develop new and build on existing good practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Head of Service to deliver a high-quality service across London, meeting funder requirements and deputising in HoS absence.
  • Coordinate of the continuous improvement of the DA Service, ensuring consistent implementation across all aspects of the Service.
  • Facilitate consultation across the teams and other key stakeholders to develop new and build on existing good practice, implement and support the strategic direction of the regional business plan.
  • Be responsible for the day-to-day management of staff, ensuring appropriate and effective delivery of services to survivors, including safeguarding, risk assessment, needs assessment, safety planning, referrals to other agencies and MARACs.
Requirements
  • A strong background in service delivery and management, with experience of working in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, partners and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of the Domestic Abuse sector and current trends and issues.
