Job Overview

ENGINEERINGUK is recruiting a Domestic Abuse Specialist to provide pro-active crisis intervention services for victims of domestic abuse. This role involves offering individual safety planning, advocacy, emotional, and practical support.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work with victims of domestic abuse, providing crisis intervention services, individual safety planning, advocacy, emotional, and practical support. They will also assist in accessing services to keep them and their family safe.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing individual safety plans
  • Providing advocacy, emotional, and practical support
  • Exploring legal and civil options, housing, health, and finance
Requirements
  • A good understanding of domestic abuse, including impact, risk assessment, safety planning, and risk management
  • Theoretical and practical knowledge of civil and criminal justice remedies for victims of domestic abuse
  • Experience in multi-agency work, managing a complex caseload, and prioritizing work effectively
  • Crisis management, communication, negotiation, and advisory skills, as well as the use of IT applications
Salary and Benefits

This role comes with a salary of £26,010 per annum, 28 days annual leave, pension, sick pay allowances, maternity and paternity payments, discounts, and wellbeing support.
