Job Title: Area Sales Manager

Barco Sales Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Area Sales Manager to join our dynamic sales team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and expanding our customer base in the South Central UK region.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in field sales, with a strong understanding of the plumbing and heating industry. You will be responsible for building and maintaining customer relationships, identifying new sales opportunities, and working closely with our office-based sales team to achieve sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Grow sales with newly established customers
  • Identify, approach, and secure new customers within your area to maximise sales routes
  • Build customer relationships to win profitable business and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Work closely with the office-based sales team to fulfil customer sales and enquiries
  • Accurately record all customer data on the internal CRM system
  • Work with Barco's product profile to maximise margins while meeting customers' needs
  • Monitor and feedback on competitor activity
  • Plan routes for the most advantageous area coverage
  • Attend and participate in monthly sales meetings in Welwyn Garden City
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in field sales, with a strong understanding of the plumbing and heating industry
  • Excellent communication and numerical skills
  • Industry experience is essential
  • Proficient in analysing sales and customer data, with excellent IT skills covering Excel, Word, Outlook, and CRM systems
  • A proven ability to work towards personal and company KPIs, with a commitment to delivering results
  • High level of self-motivation and organisation, with the ability to work remotely
  • Strong team player, recognised for going the extra mile to deliver outstanding customer service
  • Excellent attention to detail and show initiative
  • Enthusiastic about continuous learning and committed to increasing product and market knowledge through ongoing training
  • Passionate about the business and its values, embodying core attributes that drive success
  • Full UK driving licence required
