We are seeking an experienced sales professional to join our team as a Senior Sales Business Development Manager in the Middle East region. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of performance in quota attainment and developing customer accounts.

Job Summary

This role is part of the Commercial Sales team and is based at Smartsheet in London, UK (hybrid or UK remote eligible). The successful candidate will report to a Manager, Commercial Sales.

About the Role

As a Senior Sales Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for running full end-to-end sales cycles, including developing and strategizing account plans, coordinating members of cross-functional Smartsheet teams.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage strategic sales motions alongside transactional, high-volume opportunities
  • Ensure Smartsheet's success in the growth of account revenue
  • Consult with clients in defining business objectives, success criteria, and program strategy to ensure customer perception of value that leads to sales renewal and expansion
  • Manage your book of business for expansion and up-sell opportunities; partner and grow client relationships
  • Be the subject matter expert of Smartsheet and develop in-depth knowledge of product and service offerings

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years of full cycle quota carrying sales experience within the Middle East region
  • Experience managing customer relationships in a B2B environment and running Solution/Consultative Selling Techniques
  • Ability to work with multiple functional departments to manage customer life cycle from implementation to renewal
  • Excellent ability in analyzing the opportunity for cross-sell and up-sell potential within existing books of business
  • Experience prospecting and managing a designated territory to maximize revenue growth
  • High Velocity: ability to multitask, manage urgent queries, and sell as per customers timelines and compelling events
  • Solutions selling: curiosity to understand and articulate the value of the Smartsheet platform products, multi-product selling
  • Partner selling experience preferred
  • MEDDICC framework experience
  • Familiarity of CRM software packages and proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience
