We are looking for a dedicated individual with strong leadership skills to manage, direct, and evaluate nursing care for patients. The ideal candidate will possess high standards of perioperative care, reflecting the beliefs about professional perioperative practice and patient care commensurate with The Oxford Model for Exemplary Professional Nursing and Midwifery Practice.

In this role, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care from admission to discharge. You will ensure the safe custody and administration of drugs according to Trust policy and respond to emergency situations with composure. Additionally, you will lead in a specific area of perioperative practice, making recommendations, coordinating projects, and developing practice guidelines.

As a key member of our team, you will actively participate in departmental education programmes, supervise, teach, and support nursing/ODP and non-nursing staff involved in direct patient care. You will also comply with post-registration education and practice requirements and understand theatre policy and procedure.

This position requires the submission of a Disclosure to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions. The estimated annual salary for this role is £45,754 - £55,760.
