PhD Researcher: Exploring Cellular Trajectories in Senescence
4 weeks ago
Project Overview
Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute is seeking a highly motivated PhD researcher to join our team and contribute to a cutting-edge project focused on mapping cellular trajectories in the senescence spectrum. The successful candidate will work closely with Professor Masashi Narita and his team to investigate the complex relationships between senescence and tumour initiation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth research on the senescence spectrum and its role in tumour initiation
- Develop and implement novel single-cell biology and epigenomic approaches to study cellular dynamics
- Collaborate with computational biologists to analyse and interpret large-scale data sets
Requirements
- Recent graduates or final-year undergraduates with a strong background in a relevant subject
- Experience in epigenetic mapping and computational data analysis is advantageous but not essential
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Funding and Benefits
This four-year studentship is fully funded by Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute, including full funding for University fees and a stipend of £21,000 per annum. The successful candidate will also have access to state-of-the-art equipment and training through our Core Facilities.
How to Apply
Applications are invited from motivated and talented individuals who are passionate about contributing to cutting-edge research in the field of cancer biology. Please submit your application via the University Applicant Portal, including a CV, academic transcripts, and a statement of interest.
