Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Agile Product Owner to join our team in a key role within the Royal Navy's Training Transformation programme. As a Deputy Product Owner, you will work closely with the Product Owner to provide day-to-day leadership and help a multidisciplinary team deliver a coherent product aligned with the transformation vision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deputising for the Product Owner and providing day-to-day leadership
  • Motivating and inspiring teams to deliver exciting and achievable transformative solutions
  • Supporting acceleration through the Training Transformation process and delivering outcomes at pace via an Agile process
  • Ensuring that solutions presented to the Product Owner are coherent, ambitious, and transformative
  • Establishing priorities and areas of focus for training improvement with the Training Delivery Unit Product Owner and Educators

Requirements

You will have an intimate knowledge of training delivery in one of the following areas:

  • Command Leadership and Management – People Centred Leadership (CLM)
  • Weapons Engineering (WE)
  • Communications Information Systems (CIS)
  • Warfare/Warfare Support (WAR)
  • Defence Diving (DDS)

You will also have:

  • Proven experience preparing, presenting, and delivering solutions to clients
  • Experience working within an Agile environment
  • Experience of managing projects from start to finish
  • Ability to Lead Innovation and Change
